A. Discipline may take the form of verbal warning, written reprimand, suspension, demotion, and/or termination. There is no obligation to impose lesser discipline when greater discipline is warranted.

B. Department Heads or supervisors shall consult with the Human Resource Office or the City Attorney’s Office for any appealable discipline as defined by Utah State Code 10-3-1106(2)(a).

C. Uniform Penalties

Within a department, like discipline is given for like offenses among employees of similar classification or position. Amended 10/24/22 EO 22-155
