The City Manager is hereby authorized to create a Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, composed of up to nine members. The members shall be appointed by the City Manager, with the advice and consent of the City Council.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall be composed of one member from the West Valley City Council; two “at-large” members chosen from the citizenry of West Valley City; and six additional members selected from the citizenry of West Valley City at large or from such other groups or organizations, as deemed appropriate by the City Manager. Such groups or organizations may include the following: Valley West Chamber of Commerce and local sports organizations, including, but not limited to, Granger Little League Baseball, Hunter Bonnet Ball, Granger Little League Football, and Youth Soccer.
