18-7-206. ENFORCEMENT.
(1) In order to ensure the safety of the public and compliance with the requirements of this Title, West Valley City employs escalating enforcement measures. However, nothing in this Section requires the City to begin at a lower level or less severe sanction.
(2) Enforcement actions may take the form of any or all of the following:
a. Verbal warning;
b. Administrative citation in accordance with Title 10;
c. Notice of violation in accordance with Title 10;
d. The issuance of a stop work order prohibiting further work until violations are corrected;
e. A civil action in the Third District Court or in the United States District Court for the District of Utah;
f. Criminal prosecution; and/or
g. Any other civil or criminal remedy available to the City.
