(1) As used in this Part, the term “taxi” means any motor vehicle used for the purpose of transporting persons for hire, excluding motor bus operations and transportation network companies as defined by Title 13, Utah Code Annotated 1953.

(2) All taxi businesses and taxi drivers shall obtain a license in accordance with this Part.
