17-1-102. BUSINESS LICENSE REQUIRED.
(1) Unless otherwise provided, it shall be unlawful for any person to engage in business within the City without first having obtained a business license in accordance with this Title. A separate license is required for each type of business and each place of business. Each day of noncompliance shall constitute a separate violation.
(2) The following business activities are exempt from the licensing requirements of this Title:
a. Home occupations grossing less than $2,000 per year are deemed to have no material off-site impact and are accordingly exempt;
b. Vegetable and fruit stands selling produce grown solely on property within the City owned by the seller;
c. Operation of a vehicle merely passing through the City or solely used in interstate commerce;
d. Delivery in the City of property sold at a regular place of business outside the City, provided the business is licensed in its home jurisdiction and the property delivered is not subject to City inspection in accordance with another provision of law.
